If you’ve been injured at work—including while travelling to or from your workplace—your GP may recommend lodging a WorkCover claim to access treatment and support services.

What is WorkCover?

WorkCover Queensland is a government-managed program that supports employees who suffer workplace injuries. It covers costs related to medical treatment, rehabilitation, and helps coordinate return-to-work plans to support your recovery and reintegration into the workforce.

Most Queensland employers are insured through WorkCover QLD, although some may use private insurers. It's important to check with your employer to confirm your workers’ compensation insurer. A GP referral is required to begin treatment under WorkCover QLD.
